Jasmine, Sarah, Kym, Danielle & Gordon’s top 3’s for 2019
Five of our favourite long-term safety and wellness collaborators share their top threes for 2019.
As we haul ourselves the final yards of 2019, it’s almost time to pause and reflect. An opportunity to review the year that’s been and prepare for the year ahead.
But it’s also a time for caution, friends!
Oh, yes. Malls overrun by last-minute shoppers, skittish as wild horses. Planes vacuum-packed with various pathogens. Liberal quantities of festive libations. ‘Tis the season to be jolly careful.
With this in mind, we asked five of our long-term safety and wellness collaborators to share their top three’s from 2019, as well as a tip (or three) for staying safe over the holidays.

Tips for staying safe over the holidays
Holidays are a time for family, food and fun. It can also be incredibly stressful while we try to get every little thing done by the end of the year. Because of this, it is even more important to be mindful of the little things that we might take for granted.
1. Drive defensively. Lots of people are trying to get to lots of places in a hurry.
2. Wash your hands often. Holiday travel means the potential for exposure to new illnesses. The best way to guard against this is to wash your hands often and keep hands away from your face
3. Remain alert and aware of your surroundings. Through all of the hustle and bustle, ensure that your possessions (keys, mobile, wallet) are secure and that you are mindful of your personal security.

Top 3 tips to unwind
1. Exercise: I love to smash F45 workouts, they are quick, never the same and if there is an exercise you don’t like, you only have to suck it up for 45 seconds!
2. Family: nothing confirms the ‘why’ like spending time with the family. Watching the kids at sport can highlight their growth and personalities and helps to centre me away from work.
3. Friends and laughter: nothing better than having a catch up with friends, enjoying a wine or coffee depending on the time of day, and of course sharing stories and laughing! Good for the soul!
